All three of these falls are located relatively near to Sparta TN, two of them (Twin Falls and Great Falls are very close together and very accessible within short hikes) and the third, Wildcat Falls, is a few miles east of Sparta on the side of the highway, a step or two outside of the car pulloff.

These two falls are located south of Sparta TN and north of Fall Creek Falls State Park. Above is Lost Creek Falls, a very short (0.2 miles) and easy hike. What’s interesting about both of these falls is that they start at the top from a spring (so no creek or river feeding the falls) and at the bottom they disappear rapidly into the surrounding rock formations (so no creek or river running below the falls).

This waterfall is maybe 10 miles north of Cookeville TN. It has two trails to see it, an overlook trail, which we walked, and a trail to the bottom, that we definitely want to do in the future.
